Brian Arley is a Torres Strait Islander (Tudu) man from Daru Island. Brian has worked with Murawin as an Associate Consultant since 2017, joining Murawin as a full-time consultant in 2021.
Brian previously worked as Community Engagement and Communications Officer at Menzies School of Health Research, Brisbane. Managing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander research, community engagement and communications. Conducting qualitative research focus groups and individual interviews with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across Australia for national What Matters: Indigenous Quality Of life and Wellbeing Index study – to research, develop and implement an Indigenous Quality of Life and Wellbeing Index to increase transparency, responsiveness and relevance of clinical and health policy decision making to improve the health, wellbeing and quality of life for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
