Cultural Consultant


Donna holds a Diploma in Aboriginal Community Development and is a Graduate of the Indigenous Women’s Leadership Development Program. Donna was recently nominated as the Chairperson to the Board of Moogahlin Performing Arts and is a Board Member of Tiddas in Business.

Donna was a Co-consultant for the National Empowerment Project (NEP), which was conducted through the University of Western Australia. She is a co-author on the NEP report. Donna is involved in several community consultation groups, especially regarding women’s issues and NAIDOC week in the Redfern and inner city Sydney area. She is often called upon for advisory panels and community consultation groups.

Donna joined Murawin in 2021 as a Cultural Consultant. 

Donna has a deep understanding of Aboriginal issues. She has worked in Aboriginal affairs for Governments and various community organisations in Sydney for almost 40 years, mostly in education.

Donna is proud of her role as a Cultural Representative for the local Aboriginal community in Sydney and has presented Welcome to Country at many major events in Sydney over the past 11 years.

Donna was elected to represent her community as a Councillor on the former Sydney Regional Council of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission (ATSIC) and contributed to policy development as a part of this role.
