Biography

Joy is a leader with over twenty years of experience working with communities disadvantaged by race, location, gender, and poverty. Joy is passionate about supporting the delivery of community led economic, educational, and social outcomes initiatives.

Joy has twelve years community engagement and development across portfolio areas in public service including Aboriginal affairs, education, and child protection.  

Drawing on her professional skills in governance, management and leadership and extensive background in collaborating with Aboriginal people and communities, Joy delivered six years of senior management in the Not-For-Profit sector, including the position of CEO for a women’s shelter and homeless service and was Regional Manager Operations for Red Cross New South Wales.  

Joy has a strong commitment to community and individual empowerment through community voice and decision making and the intergenerational impacts of employment.
