Reconnecting at Connect 2022

26 May 2022

This week, the Murawin team had a BLAST exhibiting at Supply Nation’s Connect 2022 Tradeshow.

This fun filled day was a prime opportunity to reconnect (face to face) with our clients, industry, colleagues, peers, and fellow Indigenous businesses. Our team was honoured to be engaging with such a diverse range of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses from across Australia.

From the moment doors opened there wasn’t a quiet moment on Murawin’s exhibition stand and we wanted to thank everyone who came and had a yarn. To the familiar faces, we enjoyed seeing you again and sharing Murawin’s latest innovations and achievements with you. To the new faces, thank you for connecting, and sharing your stories. We look forward to collaborating with you on exciting opportunities in the near future.

We ended the evening by attending Supply Nation’s Supplier Diversity Awards. Murawin’s CEO, Carol Vale was successfully named as a finalist for the Indigenous Businesswoman of the Year Award. Whilst Carol didn’t take home the trophy on the night, we are extremely proud of Carol and the vitally important work she does to create impact for Indigenous and other marginalised communities, both domestically and across the waters.

“Growth of the Indigenous Business Sector has the power to contribute to closing the gap on Indigenous disadvantage within our Country. I want to be part of that movement, along with my colleagues at Murawin,” Carol shared.

“Being a finalist for the Indigenous Businesswoman of the Year Award and being recognised by one’s peers as worthy of such an award, and amongst such talented Indigenous businesswomen, is humbling and greatly appreciated.”

“Congratulations to Jasmine (Newman) and the Killara Services team for taking home the win.”

“For both myself and Murawin, being recognised as a finalist will provide a platform for us to be even bolder in our work. It encourages us to continue ensuring that our work creates impact, both for our clients and communities,” Carol said.

We also extend our appreciation to Supply Nation for successfully organising Connect 2022 and we look forward to seeing you all again at Connect 2023.
