Murawin’s Tiddas in Business program delivers

Business Ready Workshop 2 in Brisbane. Register today!

On behalf of our Tiddas in Business program, Murawin is excited to be hosting a FREE face to face Business Ready Workshop 2 – commencing 9.30am – 3pm, Saturday 21 May 2022.

The workshop is tailored towards Indigenous women who are planning on starting a business, or who already have.

In this second Business Ready Workshop we will develop a suite of Group Mentoring Sessions that will create opportunities for small groups to tackle narrow and specific topics. These might include topics such as:

  • Identifying your supply chain
  • Writing a capability statement
  • How to create a simple marketing strategy for a new business

What will the learning outcomes be?

  • Update your 90-day action plan
  • Draft your own marketing plan

When and where is the workshop being held?

The workshop will be held on Saturday 21 May 2022, in Murawin’s office, 309 North Quay, Brisbane CBD. It will run for approximately 5½ hours with scheduled breaks, commencing at 9.30am and finishing at 3pm. Catering will be provided.

Business Ready Workshop 2 is being hosted by Leesa Watego, Director of Iscariot Media Pty Ltd and Associate Professor of Practice, QUT. 

Leesa refers to herself as she/her, wife, mum, murri, business owner, educator, trainer, volunteer, #deadlyrunner. Leesa has a passion for communication and created the first and only directory of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander bloggers. She has written and presented for many years about Indigenous engagement in a digital context and with social media. Leesa is on the Management Committee of the South East Queensland Indigenous Chamber of Commerce. Leesa has been a non-Executive Director of Viscopy and is on the board of the First Australians Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FACCI). Leesa is on the board of QShelter and is a member of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Business and Innovation Reference Group. She served on the Queensland Government’s Procurement Industry Advisory Group and is the co-founder of Indigenous Business Month and Black Coffee.
